This policy explains what personal data Hangar 18 Studio collects through this website, why we collect it, who helps us handle it and what you can ask us to do with it. It follows India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023 and the rules made under it.

Who we are

Hangar 18 Studio is a sole proprietorship with its head office at A 24 A Amanishah Dargah Road, Ram Nagar, Shastri Nagar, Jaipur, Rajasthan 302016, India. We decide how the personal data described here is used, which makes us the data fiduciary under the Act.

What we collect

When you send an enquiry. The contact form asks for your name, email address, an optional phone number, what your enquiry is about and your message. If you email, call or message us on WhatsApp, we receive the details you choose to share.

When you visit the site. Like any website, our host receives your IP address, browser type and the pages you request. We use this only to deliver the site, keep it secure and count visits in aggregate. We run no analytics or advertising scripts and do not build a profile of you.

Cookies. The site sets no cookies of its own. On the contact page, a Cloudflare Turnstile check confirms that a person, not an automated program, is sending the form. It reads technical signals from your browser for that check only and does not track you across sites.

We do not ask for sensitive details such as identity numbers, bank details or health information. Please do not send them through the form.

Why we use it

• To reply to your enquiry, and to prepare a quote or proposal if you ask for one.
• To keep the site and form secure, including stopping spam and repeated automated submissions.
• If you become a client, to deliver the work and keep the invoices and records that tax and accounting law requires.

You give us your enquiry details so that we can reply, and we use them only for that purpose. We never sell your personal data, and we do not add you to a mailing list unless you ask to join one.

Who helps us handle it

We share personal data only with the providers who run parts of the site for us, and only as much as each needs:

• Cloudflare hosts the website, protects it from abuse, runs the Turnstile check and gives us aggregate traffic figures.
• Sender.net delivers each form enquiry to our inbox.
• Google Workspace hosts our email, where enquiries are received and answered.

We may also disclose personal data where the law requires it, for example to a court or a government authority acting under law.

These providers may store or process data outside India. The Act permits this, except to countries the Government of India restricts, and we will not transfer data to any such country.

How long we keep it

We keep an enquiry for one year after our last exchange about it and then delete it, unless you become a client. Client records are kept for as long as tax and accounting law requires. Security logs held by our host are kept only as long as needed for security and as the law requires.

How we protect it

The site is served only over an encrypted connection. The contact form checks every submission on our server before sending it, and access to our inbox is limited to the people who handle enquiries. If a breach affects your personal data, we will inform you and the Data Protection Board of India as the Act requires.

Your rights

Under the Act you can ask us to:

• tell you what personal data we hold about you, how we have used it and who we have shared it with;
• correct, complete or update it;
• erase it, once we no longer need it for the purpose you gave it for or to meet a legal requirement;
• stop using it, where you gave it with your consent; and
• let a person you nominate exercise these rights if you die or become unable to.

Email hello@hangar18.studio from the address you used with us, or tell us how else we can confirm who you are. We will reply as soon as we can, and within 90 days at the latest. If you are not satisfied with our reply, you can complain to the Data Protection Board of India.

Children

This site and our services are for adults. If you are under 18, please ask a parent or guardian to contact us for you. If we learn that we have received a child’s personal data without a parent’s or guardian’s consent, we will delete it.

Other websites

Our pages link to other services, such as Spotify, Apple Music, Calendly, WhatsApp and social networks. Their own privacy policies apply once you follow a link.

Changes to this policy

When we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page. If a change affects how we use data you have already given us, we will tell you before it applies.
