DEEP DAWN

Deep Dawn is an experimental band from near Puducherry, India. Their sound mixes blues, funk, rock, hip-hop and psychedelia, and doesn’t sit in any one genre. The band formed in 2023 when Malcolm joined as lead singer. They set themselves a challenge: write and record seven songs in three months. Their friend and producer Kshitij Bhatt flew down for a two-day recording marathon and captured the raw energy of every song. In March 2024 they played all seven at a pre-release show to a crowd of over 250 people. The response pushed them to keep going, and their first public show followed at a local film festival. Their first EP, Helicopter Man, features the tracks “Helicopter Man” and “How It Goes”. With big guitar riffs, catchy rhythms and a live feel, Deep Dawn make music to keep you moving.
